I am a NJ State Certified Teacher and have worked in the field of early childhood education since 1986. Before beginning my journey at Carousel of Learning in 2019, I taught Kindergarten; first in a small, private school, followed by the next 21 years teaching Kindergarten in the Ridgefield Park Public School District. In the very early years of my career, I worked with children from birth through school age beginning in 1986 at The Children’s Studio in Rutherford and East Rutherford, as a Teacher Assistant, Preschool Lead Teacher, and finally Head Teacher/Assistant Director.
I hold a BA from Montclair State University and a Kindergarten Fellow from the State of NJ. My ongoing studies include different approaches, philosophies, and methodologies in early childhood education, with an emphasis on continually working with authenticity in the Reggio Emilia Approach. I feel it is important to never stop learning and to maintain awareness of current trends in early childhood education.
Originally from Lyndhurst, I have resided in Morris County since 2007 with my husband, high school-age son, and our beloved poodle, Norway. Motherhood remains the greatest joy of my life!
You will often find our whole family at the center on nights and weekends, working together at Carousel. I enjoy time with family and friends, the shore, reading, music, decorating, organizing, shopping, good food, and movies.
I have been working in the field of early childhood education since 1987. Over the years, I have been a Teacher and a Program Director. I received both my Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Program Leadership and Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I have a wonderful daughter, Karmyn, a beautiful baby granddaughter, and a crazy dog, Grizzly. It is a pleasure and a privilege to be working at Carousel of Learning!
I hold a Child Development Associate and have worked in the field of early childhood education for 18 years and at Carousel of Learning for the last 10 years. I grew up in Parsippany and still reside here with my high school sweetheart and husband Hank, who is always helpful behind the scenes at Carousel! Our son has grown up at the center and still attends on some days. I take great pleasure in teaching and watching children develop an understanding of new concepts, loving every minute of my time in the classroom. I enjoy spending time with our two dogs, being outside, drawing, and doing puzzles.
My name is Danielle. I joined the Carousel Family over 6 years ago, in the summer of 2017. I hold a Child Development Associate and have 17 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. My husband and I have been married for 27 years! We live in my childhood home in Wayne with my grown daughter and son in elementary school. We love spending time with our family and friends. Some things we also enjoy are day trips, movies, and game nights together.
I enjoy working with children because we experience something new each day as we learn together!

I'm Miss Liz! I hold an Associate of Science Degree and an Infant/Toddler CDA. I also have over 14 years of early childhood experience, mainly with Infants and Toddlers. Initially, I planned for a career in the pediatric health field. But after volunteering at a daycare center for three years during high school, I quickly realized that teaching made me happy! I recently moved to Parsippany, and my daughter is in the Toddler Classroom at Carousel too.
Ms. Carmen here! After a career in Corporate Communications, I transitioned into childcare, inspired to give back for the exceptional
care my daughter once received. With a Bachelor’s degree, an MBA, and certification as a New Jersey Substitute teacher, I have dedicated the past decade to nurturing young minds. My experience spans various educational settings, including public school districts and specialized childcare centers, where I’ve engaged with preschoolers, Pre-K students, Infants, and Toddlers. I find immense joy and honor in contributing to children’s self-discovery, guiding them as they explore their creativity, understand boundaries, and experience the thrill of learning new concepts. My days
are brightened by dancing, singing, and embracing silliness while eagerly listening to the ideas of these budding intellectuals. Since joining the Carousel Family in 2023, each day has been a treasured opportunity for growth and connection.
